When we received a telephone call from Nadine Johnson asking us if we would like to share our love and home with "Dovey", the sweet bitch from her "Rising Star WINGS litter" (Danilov x Nofretary) - we packed our bags and were on our way driving across the country to bring "Dovey" home. We re-named her 'call' name to "Danielle" (in honor of her sire, Danilov) .... she was 8 months old.
Danielle finished her Championship easily owner/handled mostly by Paul. At the Cleveland Christmas Crown Classic Shows she had back-to-back majors leaving her with one single point to finish. On Danielle's next time out, she won that point with Paul on the 'other' end of the lead. Although Danielle has done excellent in the show ring, her 'true' enjoyment is hunting ground hogs that have dared to come into our yard ! When not being shown, she is running, playing and hunting in the yard and being a true couch potato when inside. |
